The Napa Valley Transportation Authority (NVTA) recently celebrated the opening of its new 28,000-square-foot Vine Transit Maintenance Facility, which aims to support the expansion of its zero-emission fleet. This state-of-the-art facility, nestled on 8 acres in Napa, features modern maintenance bays equipped for future hydrogen fuel use and has a capacity for 12 electric bus chargers.
Built with environmentally sustainable materials and designed by Stantec, the facility provides an efficient workplace for over 100 Vine Transit employees. With a total investment of $39 million, the project was completed nearly $1 million under budget and is one of only three nationwide to receive a loan from the federal Transportation Infrastructure Finance and Innovation Act Rural Project Initiative.
