Yoga in the Park with Carl Brown in Laguna Beach, CA offers free yoga classes three days a week at Treasure Island Park-Montage Resort. Led by registered Yoga Alliance instructor Carl Brown, these classes have been running for 17 1/2 years and aim to support the education of women in Nepal through donations to Tara Abbey.
However, as of November 19, 2023, Yoga in the Park has shut down, with Carl Brown stepping down from leading the classes. The extended shut down was due to Carl dealing with a sciatica issue, and classes were put on hold until October while he spent time with his grandson. Despite these setbacks, Yoga in the Park had a great group turnout on June 24, 2023, and celebrated its 17th anniversary in June 2023.
