YMCA Downtown Preschool

The YMCA of Greater Long Beach is dedicated to putting Judeo-Christian principles into practice through programs that develop healthy spirit, mind and body for all people in Long Beach, Calif. Programs offered at the Fairfield Family YMCA include a co-ed Y s men club, camping, licensed child care services, swim lessons, teen clubs, parent/child programs and youth sports. The facility contains a pool, racquetball courts, a running track, free weights, cybex equipment, nautilus equipment, lifecycles, rowing machines, treadmills, stairmasters, aerobic and basketball courts, locker rooms and a childcare center. Along with the Fairfield Family YMCA, The YMCA of Greater Long Beach consists of the Lakewood, Los Cerritos, Los Altos, Coral, Camp Oakes and Buffum-Downtown YMCA facilities.

The Torrance-South Bay YMCA helps in the development of spiritual, mental, physical and social skills of families and communities. Located in Torrance, Calif., the organization provides health and social services to more than 12,500 individuals. It offers preschool and before- and after-school child care programs. The Torrance-South Bay YMCA also provides parent-child programs, swimming lessons, and individual and family counseling. The organization features several camps that offer canoeing, sailing, fishing, boating, horseback riding, rock climbing, mountain biking, hiking, and arts and crafts. Its nutrition and socialization programs serve meals to approximately 52,000 people and provide fitness and dance classes.
