History

Yasha Associates began business in 1959. Yasha designed a patented shade named the Permashade. Yasha's initially worked for architects and interior designers. He specialized in draperies and Roman and Austrian shades and eventually branched out and moved to the Ice House. His buisiness grew and moved again into the Showplace Design Center. As his business gained additional accounts, he trained his son in the business. Alex took over the business in 1985, and moved his business to the present location. Alex expanded the business to include motorization of shades and became an expert in many systems.

Specialties

We are one of the very few shops manufacturing shades in San Francisco. We also repair all major brands. Yasha's has experience delineating the cutting edge; we take pride in our relationships with Hunter Douglas, Mariak, Grand Design, Fashion Tech and Hauser Shades. We only use the best fabrics from Henry Calvin, Kasmir Fabrics, Fabricut and Pindler & Pindler, Inc. Yasha's is a distributor for motorized systems including Somfy, Simu, Elero and BTX. We use Kirsh, Graber and RollEase drapery hardware.
