Established in 1987 Owned And Operated By A Former Chief Deputy Assessor and I.R.S. Agent. Enrolled agents (EAs) are America's Tax Experts. Al Wise is an Enrolled Agent, a Property Tax Expert, and a Real Estate Broker. Al has more than 25 years of experience working with income tax; first working as an IRS Agent, and then operating Al Wise Tax Service (recently renamed A. Wise Tax Service to include his son, Andrew). Al worked in the Contra Costa County Assessor's Office for 25 years. For the last 20 years, Al managed the Business Property Division as Principal Appraiser and then as Chief Deputy Assessor. Al has testified in front of the Assessment Appeals Board for cases including hearings regarding multi-billion dollar valuations of petroleum refineries. He is uniquely qualified to represent you on all property tax matters.
