Sonoma County Wildlife Rescue (SCWR), founded in 1981 by a dedicated group of women, is committed to the rescue, rehabilitation, and release of sick, injured, and orphaned wildlife. With a focus on promoting understanding and conservation of wildlife, SCWR serves over 1,500 animals annually through its Wildlife Hospital and educational outreach programs.
In addition to their direct care efforts, SCWR has developed innovative programs such as the Wildlife Exclusion Service, Barn Owl Maintenance Program, and Predator Exclusion and Education Program to engage the community in humane wildlife management. Operating as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, SCWR relies solely on contributions from supporters to sustain its mission and enhance wildlife protection in California.
