Established in 1971, Windward School is a college preparatory school that offers a curriculum that includes strong academic preparation with the development of ethics, character and interpersonal skills. Windward s counseling program supports students and families by educating them on how to respond to issues surrounding substance use or abuse. Woven through the traditional college preparatory courses that comprise English language and literature, a complex social studies curriculum, mathematics, science and foreign languages, are opportunities that enable students to be actively involved in their own education. The school s academic curriculum includes world literature, physics, environmental science, conservation biology, precalculus, statistics, government and foreign languages. It additionally offers various extracurricular activities and sports programs, such as soccer, football, baseball, tennis, swimming and track. Windward School is located in Los Angeles.
