History

We have deep roots embedded in the San Diego County community. Our origins began in 1958 with the Lawrence, Fogg, Florer and Smith corporation. Mr. Steen joined the company in 1975 and through retirements and merger with La Mesa Engineering Services, a local surveying company founded in 1925, William A. Steen & Associates was established in 1984.

Specialties

We provide clients with a full range of civil engineering, planning, forensic and surveying services from preliminary studies, project planning, surveying and engineering design to construction staking, construction review and project management. The practice of the firm includes major design work in the fields of streets and highways, drainage, flood control water distribution and storage facilities, sewage collection systems, harbor and waterfront projects, recreational and park development, and comprehensive land planning, residential subdivisions, shopping centers and industrial park developments. Mr. Steen provides expert witnesses services in Civil Engineering and Land Surveying on numerous litigation matters throughout the San Diego, Riverside and Orange County regions.
