Established in 1988, the Santa Barbara Wildlife Care Network (SBWCN) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation, and release of injured and orphaned wildlife. With a mission to educate the community on living in harmony with local wildlife, SBWCN faces various threats to animals, including window strikes, wildfires, and oil spills.
Each spring, the organization experiences a surge of vulnerable wildlife during Baby Season, when over a thousand young animals require immediate care. By volunteering, donating, or participating in educational programs, the community can play a vital role in ensuring these animals receive the second chances they deserve.
