History

White Light Sounds is a wellness studio based in Hermosa Beach, California, founded by lovers of music, movement, mindfulness, and meditation. Our signature events are group sound baths, featuring crystal singing bowls and gongs alongside frame drums, ocean drums, chimes and other ancient and tribal instruments. Group sound baths are regularly scheduled at local venues several months in advance or brought to your greater Los Angeles area location. We also curate custom wellness workshops and retreats that meld our love of sound meditation with other mindful and soul-soothing practices tailored to the needs of our private and corporate clients.

Specialties

A sound bath is an experience of meditation guided by sound or music. Also referred to as sound meditation, it facilitates the calming of the mind and body and promotes an overall sense of well-being. We ask participants to lie down on the floor in a relaxed position, close their eyes, and stay present while listening to the sounds. In our signature sound baths, we focus on a combination of crystal singing bowls and various types of gongs. Crystal singing bowls are tuned to specific musical notes and have a balancing effect, while gongs add powerful tones to the sound experience. We also incorporate frame drums, wave drums, chimes and other ancient and tribal instruments. The resulting symphony of sounds eases the mind into a relaxed brainwave state, allowing the body to restore its natural balance.
