History

WHAR Wolf Rescue began in 1999 with the rescue of our first two wolf/dog hybrids, Tundra and Chinook. WHAR stands for Wolf Hybrid Adoption and Rescue. It was startred by the Krutsinger family and local directors from Paso Robles community. The first location was in Whitley Gardens on Estrella Rd. East Paso Robles CA. Sadly the property was taken by state of California Dept. of Cal Trans. After 3 years it was decided that WHAR would be moved to a new location, and the State of California Dept. of CalTrans would be building WHAR a new facility. The result is the second WHAR Wolf in it's new location on Adobe Rd in Paso Robles. The new WHAR facility is amazing and thank you to CA taxpayers. Today WHAR continues to share it's amazing mission. WHAR is grateful for the new location and appreciative for the Jackson family who are leasing land to WHAR so it can continue it's work. WHAR Wolf work continues day by day, and the future holds interesting things.
