History

Now firmly entrenched in his fourth decade in the Construction Trades, Peter Mars started with Gaehwyler Construction in San Francisco in the spring of 1979. Following a short stint as a Carpenter's apprentice with Oakland Local 2236, Peter joined Remick Construction in 1980. After numerous successful remodel projects with the Piedmont, CA. based crew, where he picked up many new skills and experiences, Peter ventured into the San Francisco Bay Area construction market as a self employed free-lance Journey level carpenter in 1983. Mister Mars, as he often refers to himself, has worked with, and along side, many local builders, contractors and architects, including: Kirk Griswold, Brian Levy, Joe Costerella, Ace Architects, Profile Design Group, Peter Lena, Bruce Lightbody, Wayne Katsumata, Larry Arthur, Wayne Campbell and most recently Rod Garret.
