West Park Elementary School

Hidalgo Elementary School is a part of the Fresno Unified School District, which governs more than 60 elementary schools. The school serves more than 700 students in grades kindergarten through six. In addition, it serves functional skills students in grades one through six and special day class students in preschool and kindergarten. The school provides academic classes in art, foreign language, health, visual arts, math, physical education, science and social studies. It maintains a parent club that undertakes various activities, including materials development for classroom use, parenting workshops and discussions on school budgets, policies and community issues. The school also has a crisis response team and student council. Hidalgo Elementary School has a faculty of nearly 30 full-time teachers and is located in Fresno, Calif.

Founded in 1879, the Washington Colony Elementary School District serves students in kindergarten through eighth grade. It provides many educational and student support programs, including before- and after-school, arts and music, child nutrition, supplemental and language acquisition programs. It has a library and media center that offers various resources, such as books, encyclopedias, magazines and newspapers.
