The VIP Village Preschool is the South Bay Union School District's site for the state preschool program, as well as district-funded and special education preschool classes. Located in Imperial Beach, Calif., it enrolls more than 700 students for half-day classes. It offers thematic curriculum with the district's kindergarten through six program and state and district standards. Its stomp band consists of children playing buckets, trash cans and various instruments. It offers Adelante, a schoolwide educational program for preschool-aged English Learners. It emphasizes on school readiness, parent education and involvement, staff development, a wide variety of community partnerships, and an extensive resource and referral service for all preschool children and families.
