Ventura Regional Sanitation District (VRSD) has been proudly serving Ventura County for 50 years, offering a range of solid waste disposal and wastewater operations. Under VRSD management, customers of the Toland Road Landfill enjoy state-of-the-art solid waste processing at some of the lowest rates in California, with multiple awards for its landfill operations. In addition to the Toland Road site, VRSD conducts post-closure work at several former landfill sites, ensuring landscaping, irrigation, drainage system installation and maintenance, landfill gas extraction, groundwater monitoring, and soil layer quality assurance.

Managed by the Ventura Regional Sanitation District, Toland Road Landfill operates under comprehensive permits and is overseen by various state and local regulatory agencies, including the California Environmental Protection Agency, California Department of Resources Recycling and Recovery, and the California Air Resources Board. The landfill strictly accepts commercial loads of municipal solid waste processed through Ventura County transfer stations and materials recycling facilities, with detailed inspections conducted to ensure no hazardous materials are present. Illegal dumping is strictly prohibited and may result in fines, with reporting available for after-hours incidents.
