Ventura Auditor Controller

Located in Ventura, Calif., Ventura County Resource Management Agency provides services to protect the health, safety and welfare of the general public. It provides services through administration and enforcement of county ordinances, board policies, and state and federal laws regarding land use, and commercial and environmental regulations. The agency has various divisions, including building and safety, environmental health, operations and planning. Its building and safety division provides protection to the public against hazards associated with the construction, use and occupancy of buildings and structures. The Ventura County Assessor is a division of the government of Ventura County, Calif. The office is responsible for discovering, listing, classifying and valuing all real and personal property within the county. The department is also responsible for maintaining public records, including ownership and parcel maps. In addition, the department submits the abstracts to the state s government division that oversees property taxation and certifies values to taxing entities.
