Los Angeles Wellness Institute (LAWI), located in Marina Del Rey, California, is a one-of-a-kind integrated wellness center that brings together both western and natural medicine for maximum benefits and the best possible patient outcomes.Co-founded by Dr. Michael Billauer, DC, and Marci Reiss, DSW, LCSW, the Los Angeles Wellness Institute was designed to address the areas of health and wellness that are often hardest to treat, including pain, depression and anxiety, concussion, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), nutrition, and weight management.Dr. Billauer and Dr. Reiss believe that there is tremendous value to be gained from combining western and natural medicine in the care of patients. They evaluate each patient to identify their unique challenges to health and wellness and create individualized treatment approaches to optimize their well-being.Patients facing acute or chronic illness, pain, or other challenging physical or mental health conditions need help to get well. Generally, they have two options: they can choose western medicine, or they can use more natural approaches. Unfortunately, those two approaches rarely intersect.LAWI believes that there is value to both approaches and it is the combination of the two that truly achieves health and wellness. They combine thorough diagnostics to identify the root causes of symptoms with both traditional and alternative treatments, custom-selected for each individual patient.LAWI is currently welcoming new patients.
