We are experiencing an increased case load. To allow time for a high standard of care for each individual patient, we are implementing pause – intervals in the intake of stable emergency patients. Your pet will be triaged and assigned a level of urgency based off clinical parameters and doctor assessment and unstable or critical patients will be prioritized. If your pet is suffering from a non-urgent issue, there will be extended wait times during these intervals. We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your understanding and patience. Each VCA hospital has health and safety protocols in place based on health care best practices as well as state and local guidance and regulations.

Crossroads Animal Emergency

Crossroads Animal Emergency has been an A.A.H.A. certified hospital for 29 years. We're open Nights, Weekends and Holidays. 6pm to 8am Monday through Friday, and 24 Hours a day on Weekends and Holidays. Crossroads has experienced doctors on staff all night long. As fellow pet owners our entire staff understands what it is like to take their pet unexpectedly to an emergency room. We understand that when your pet is having an emergency it is a difficult time in your life. We want you to be greeted by a friendly front desk staff--ready to assist you with having your pet examined by our doctor. One of our skilled nurses will quickly evaluate your pet's condition and determine what order you will be seen--most life threatening first. Those patients needing immediate life saving treatment will be taken to our treatment area where measures will be used to attempt to save the pet's life. At Crossroads, the doctor will always perform a thorough examination (cost is $75) and offer recommendations for tests to get to the bottom of what your pet suffers from, and once that is determined will offer you treatment options for your pet. Only tests indicated by your pet's condition will be performed. We have a goal of providing you with World Class Customer Service and World Class Pet Healthcare. Crossroads serves Southeast Los Angeles County, Long Beach and North Orange County for emergency pet needs, as well as for orthopedic and complex soft tissue surgeries. Crossroads has the latest in advanced equipment including digital X-Ray, ultrasound, patient monitoring, and anesthesia.
