I worked here with Milt Larson of the Magic Castle owned it ....from 1977 until 1980... Then worked at the Whiskey A gogo for two years ...then )went on the road for nine years.... 1992 returned...

Variety Arts Theatre, located in Downtown Los Angeles, California, was the second home of the women's club known as the Friday Morning Club for 61 years. The six-story Italian Renaissance Revival-style clubhouse, designed by architects Allison Allison and built in 1923, served as a hub for cultural and social activities, including arts and theater programs.
After being sold to the Society for the Preservation of Variety Arts in 1977, the building was used for live plays, cabarets, and revivals of early stage and radio dramas. Today, the historic Friday Morning Club building continues to be a significant landmark in Los Angeles, recognized as a Los Angeles Historic-Cultural Monument and listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
