Group Dynamics, Inc ( GDI ) is a full service marketing and promotions company which specializes in the production and promotion of major national and international sporting and entertainment events. GDI provides operations, advertising, public relations, point-of sale production, marketing, sampling and event management services for major U.S. and International corporations. The headquarters are in Los Angeles with a key overseas office in Tokyo, Japan. During the past 35 years, GDI has organized and successfully promoted events including over 90 professional beach volleyball tournaments throughout the US for sponsors such as Coppertone, Miller Brewing, Heublein, Gatorade, Chevrolet, PCH Sportswear and Nissan. GDI has, for the past 18 years, produced and promoted the $250, 000 Bridgestone World Doubles Championship and the $750, 000 Pan Pacific Open, both on the Kraft General Foods World Tour women's tennis calendar. GDI created and promoted the Olympia Challenge Bowl, a conference vs. conference post season college football bowl game held at the Kingdome in Seattle, Washington. GDI has also promoted national and international drill team competitions, World Cup soccer, stadium motocross, triathlons, all-star basketball, and baseball games. Other events include professional bowling, roller derby, horse racing, Formula One Grand Prix auto racing as well as pro track and field championships. Beach events range from Sandcastle competitions and "Powerlounging" competitions to the Pro Beach Volleyball Series. Special event product sampling for Gatorade, Coppertone, M&M Mars, Bristol Myers, Kellogg's and many other companies have offered GDI the opportunity to demonstrate the spectrum of its marketing skills. GDI has also produced and promoted numerous musical festivals including The Stadium Jam featuring Carlos Santana, as well as the Aurex Jazz Festivals in Japan featuring 60 top Jazz musicians like Jerry Mulligan, Benny Goodman, Stan Getz, Lionel Hampton, Dave Brubeck, Woody Harman, Dexter Gordon and many more. The Santa Barbara International Jazz Fastival, was a successful new promotion for GDI. In 1992 and 1993, the Jazz Festival played to over 60, 000 fans on the beach and is now considered one of the premiere jazz concerts on the International Jazz Calender. This past year GDI introduced The first Annual Orange Cpunty Jazz & Blues Festival to Southern California with an all-star line-up of international musicians. GDI is represented at many US and overseas events and maintains ongoing relationships with the staff and board members of the Women's Tennis Association, the United States Tennis Association, the International Lawn Tennis Association, the Western Women Professional Bowlers, the National Basketball Association and the United States Volleyball Association. Additionally, GDI has produced television shows for ABC, ESPN, PBS and many Japanese television networks. GDI's staff is composed of top management personnel with a combined 80 years of marketing experience. All have extensive backgrounds in marketing, promotions and provides world-class athletes and entertainers to each project.
