UCLA Bruin Run/Walk

The UCLA Acosta Training Center in Los Angeles, CA is home to the annual Bruin Run Walk, a 5K event that has been a cherished tradition on the UCLA campus for nearly two decades. Organized by the UCLA Student Wellness Commission, this student-run event brings together students, faculty, and members of the greater LA community to raise funds for The Painted Turtle, a camp in Lake Hughes, California that supports children with chronic illnesses and their families.

With the dedication of twenty passionate UCLA undergraduate students, the Bruin Run Walk has successfully gathered around 1000 participants per year and raised over $75,000 in a given year for its beneficiary. This event showcases the spirit of community and compassion as it unites individuals from all walks of life for a wonderful cause.
