In Brazil, acai bowls are everywhere. When I moved to the states, I missed being able to have a delicious acai snack whenever I pleased. That's why I opened Ubatuba Acai in 2013. I noticed that other juice bars were selling acai, but it wasn't the same flavor or consistency that I had back home. Since I wanted to bring authentic Brazilian acai to Southern California, I began importing my own acai from Brazil and selling it for an affordable price like we Brazilians do. To pay homage to my home, I named my store Ubatuba after my hometown located in the state of San Paulo. Ubatuba means

The draw is that you get to pick your own toppings but the açaí and pitaya itself is just fine when compared to other açaí spots. There's a nice seating area outside.
