Twin Towers Correctional Facility is governed by the Custody Operations Division, which is a part of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department. The facility is housed within a complex that is spread over an area of more than 9 acres. It is comprised of the Los Angeles County Medical Center Jail Ward, medical services building and various towers. Twin Towers Correctional Facility is designed to accommodate maximum security inmates. The facility also includes inpatient housing for inmates with acute medical and mental health disorders. In addition, Twin Towers Correctional Facility offers inmate information to the community through its answering service. It administers a telecommunication vocational program for inmates.
