The Community Housing Improvement Program (CHIP) is a private non-profit organization dedicated to providing affordable, safe, and sustainable housing for low-income individuals and families across several counties in Northern California, including Butte, Glenn, Tehama, Shasta, Colusa, Sutter, and Yuba. Since its inception in 1973, CHIP has successfully built over 2,850 housing units, empowering more than 1,800 residents to find a place to call home.

CHIP believes that quality housing is the foundation for overall well-being and community development. By fostering a community-oriented approach, the organization works to address the housing crisis while promoting economic mobility and enhancing the lives of those it serves.
