History

The story of Tully Rinckey PLLC begins with the tragic events of Sept. 11, 2001. On that day, Mathew B. Tully was working in the legal department at Morgan Stanley in the World Trade Center. He escaped from the terrorist attacks and later relocated to his ski home in New York's Catskill Mountains. From there in 2003 he launched his law practice. It did not take long for Mr. Tully's practice, which initially focused on criminal defense, employment law, civil litigation, and real estate law, to outgrow his Greene County home. In 2004, he partnered with Greg T. Rinckey to establish a law firm in Albany, N.Y. Tully & Associates, PLLC in 2005 officially became Tully Rinckey & Associates, PLLC. In 2008, the firm again changed its name to Tully Rinckey PLLC. Today the firm operates 10 offices in New York, Washington D.C., Texas and California, with over 70 attorneys practicing in multiple areas of law.
