Tulare City School District

Located in Tulare, Calif., Tulare City School District comprises nine elementary schools and four middle schools. The district s core curriculum includes classes in English, math, health, social studies and science. The district uses effective, research-based, high interest, up-to-date textbooks and instructional materials. The textbook adoption is aligned with the state standards adopted by the State Board of Education. Students are provided quality textbooks in each subject area. In addition to the hardcover and consumable textbooks, the district also supports the integrated use of educational technology, including online libraries and Internet access. Parents participate in a variety of activities, such as the school site council, English language advisory committee, migrant parent advisory committee, parent teacher organization, band boosters, graduation committees and fund-raising events.
