About Truxtun RadiologyTruxtun Radiology was founded in 1988 by Dr. Girish Patel with a small office and fewer than 10 employees. Truxtun has since grown into the largest imaging practice in Bakersfield, with four strategically located centers offering the very latest in diagnostic and interventional imaging services. Today we have over 150 employees and 13 full time radiologists.Our goal is to provide patients and their physicians with superior technology, an accurate diagnosis, comfort, and the best possible service. We appreciate the value of your time, and our highly skilled technologists and physicians work closely with all our patients to make each visit as quick and as comfortable as possible.Radiology services have changed dramatically since Truxtun was founded, and many services we do today, like CT Angiography and 4-D Ultrasound imaging, weren't even invented in 1988. As Truxtun has grown, we have been leaders in introducing advanced technology to Bakersfield. Truxtun was the first in the community to provide Screening Mammography, the first to offer Digital Mammography, and the first to offer Positron Emission Tomography ( PET scanning ).
