SpecialtiesMy name is Serena and I am currently a student at Johns Hopkins University. My high school statistics include receiving 5s on all 8 of my AP exams and a 35 on the ACT. My success makes me uniquely, highly qualified in K-12 tutoring, ACT prep, and college applications advising. In addition, I am bilingual (Chinese and English) so I can teach students who are more comfortable with Chinese. I am available for both in-person (until August 19, 2022) and online tutoring. For in-person tutoring, I prefer that the student meets up at a pre-determined location; I do not travel to the student's home. My rate starts at $40/hr but it may increase based on the the students' tutoring needs and in-person/online format. The tutoring subjects I offer are: Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Reading, Writing, and all Elementary/Middle School subjects. I provide ACT Prep in all 4 subjects. I have incredibly successful personal experiences with college application process. I was accepted into Johns Hopkins University (where I am currently attending), UC Berkeley, UCLA, UC San Diego, UC Irvine, UC Davis, Vanderbilt University, and University of Rochester. I am on a ~$30,000/yr merit scholarship at Johns Hopkins, was offered Regents/Dean Scholarships at 3 UC schools, and was offered 2 research scholarships at the University of Rochester.
