History
Tom has been a full-time singer/pianist for over 40 years. In 1977, Tom left the Midwest for California and quickly became one of San Francisco's most sought after party, wedding and event pianists. In the 90s, he plunged into the cabaret scene where he remains very active, working with the best and brightest of San Francisco's performing artists. In 2008, Tom Shaw Trio made their debut. Tom began writing music for film in 2010 and he has since gone on to win numerous awards and nominations for his work.
Specialties
I am a San Francisco-based party, wedding and event singer/pianist, who plays all genres of music. I host a semi-monthly open mic in downtown SF. I am also an award-winning film composer available for film projects. My versatile jazz trio (piano/vocal, bass, drums) is also available for hire.
