Tom Hawkins Elementary School

Located in Tracy, Calif., Tom Hawkins Elementary School is a part of the Jefferson School District. It has an annual enrollment of more than 800 students in grades kindergarten through eight. The school has a parent-faculty association that organizes and sponsors a wide range of events, including games, prizes, food, entertainment, silent and live auctions, bounce houses and drawing competitions. Its core curriculum includes various academic courses in language arts, math, physical education, science, social studies, and reading and writing. It has a school site council that develops a school improvement plan and maintains communications with the school board, students and community.
