Tin Box Candy Company
History
Strolling down Disneyland's Main Street you couldn't help but notice the bright pink and white Candy Palace. Peering through the big open window, watching the Candymakers handcraft mouth-watering candies was truly magical. Lee Hight, the Original Disneyland Candyman, helped create this magic for over 29 years. It was his meticulous attention to detail, passion for perfection and desire to make everyone's day a little sweeter that inspired many fine Candymakers. Lee passed away in December 2016 and left his daughter an old, tattered tin box filled with candy recipes inspiring her to reconnect with a couple of the Original Candymakers. They still felt bonded by their experience in the kitchen and wanted to recreate the magic. And, what better way of doing that than getting together to make a limited supply of handcrafted candies throughout the year. In Lee's honor, Tin Box Candy Company was established in 2019.
