Martin Pierce is a custom door hardware designer and manufacturer specializing in finely detailed castings for luxury homes. As a sculptor and artist, he has steered his company, Martin Pierce Hardware, to create a diverse and unique collection of custom door hardware spanning 8 collections of door handles and over 100 unique cabinet pulls. All the work is made to order in Los Angeles and is cast in silicon bronze and 316 stainless steel using the lost wax method of casting. Martin Pierce’s client base includes interior designers, architects and discerning homeowners primarily located in the US but also in Europe, Asia, and the Middle East. In 2023 and 2024 Martin Pierce began to develop a collection of fantasy insect sculptures to complement his hardware designs. He views these 2 areas as complimentary and seeks to make the transition from sculptural hardware to art sculptures a seamless one. Other collections include 10 dog breeds of door knobs with a French Bulldog, Yorkie and Boxer in the cast and 4 types of cat door knob, Persian, Siamese, Ragdoll and Common cats.
