History

I received my certification from Dean Associates (now called National Holistic Institute) in Oakland, CA . Over the years I have worked with chiropractors, in spas and fitness centers, and have taught massage techniques privately and at Carteret Community College in Morehead City, NC. I have also maintained private practices in Berkeley, CA, Morehead City, NC, and now in Petaluma, CA. I am certified by the California Massage Therapy Council, #47197.

My primary specialty is helping people to relax, renew, and recover from stress, fatigue, and/or muscle injuries such as low back pain and sciatica, chronic headaches/migraines, neck/shoulder tension and whiplash, TMJ, and carpal tunnel syndrome. I draw from many different massage modalities, but the techniques I most often use are Swedish-Esalen, deep tissue, Muscle Release, hydrotherapy, vibration, and Somatics. Ultimately, what I do is guided by your feedback, my extensive experience, and my intuition--whatever works and feels good, too. It makes my day to welcome clients needing my help and then see them practically float out the door an hour later with smiles on their faces. My work is highly effective and my rates are reasonable.
