Sadly, Western Gate is permanently closed! It was beautiful, elegant, and served great tea with a contemplative atmosphere. Such things it seems are not meant to last.

Could be one of my favorite tea houses ever. Beautiful and zen interior with Japanese floor seating on tatami, awesome music and lots of books! And not to forget, wonderful tea. I'll be back.
