Founded in 1966, The Urban School of San Francisco is an independent high school that provides a range of learning opportunities for children. Its curriculum includes several subjects, such as math, science, English, history and performing arts. The school also offers courses in Chinese, French and Spanish. Additionally, it offers assistance with college courses and career planning. The school s other support services include peer tutoring and individualized academic counseling. Located in San Francisco, the school operates more than 35 clubs. Its athletic activities include volleyball, cross country, basketball, tennis, golf, soccer, baseball and fencing. The Urban School of San Francisco also maintains a library that offers a collection of reference books, periodicals and electronic resources.
