In 1998, three college friends established The Sofa Company, a local Los Angeles based sofa specialty shop with a unique concept in "You design it, we build it!". Jim, Peter, and Nick's goal was simple enough - to build a fun, simple way for residences' throughout Los Angeles to customize upholstery products that would fit their homes and lifestyle. Now, more than 15 years later, The Sofa Company manufactures its' own designs and models straight from a central headquarters in Downtown Los Angeles. This allows each personalize sofa to be designed by the customer and then built and delivered locally in a quick and easy turnaround time. Where to Find The Sofa Company - While we do pride ourselves in having a nice home on the internet, The Sofa Company is also a true Brick and Mortar business establishment. The Sofa Company has now expanded to 4 Southern California locations in Santa Monica, Old Town Pasadena, Redondo Beach and Costa Mesa. For our clients in the So Cal area, we always advise to come down to any of our locations to do a true "sit test". Our showrooms each house more than 50 different models to choose from and offer an almost infinite selection of sizes, configurations, and options.
