The Social Engineering Project, Inc. (TSEP) is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt social impact venture based in Oakland, CA. Collaborating with Stanford University, TSEP aims to address the lack of diversity in the tech industry by offering culturally relevant STEM pipeline programs for underrepresented students of color, providing them with technical career pathways.
Driven by the belief that individuals can either be part of the problem or part of the solution, TSEP draws inspiration from Charles Hamilton Houston's quote, "A lawyer is either a social engineer or a parasite on society." With a focus on centralized planning to manage social change and shape the future development of society, TSEP strives to be a catalyst for increasing representation in the tech industry.
