I decided to start The Painting Coach business when a customer who usually does their own painting asked me to take a look at some painting and paperhanging in their home. I bid the entire job knowing that they were going to do the painting. Then they decided they were too busy and told me to just do it all. I did, but noticed a few issues with their previous job. I could have prevented that with just a short time of personal coaching. I thought there might be a need here that I could fill. We discussed the concept and they liked it.
