The Moonlight Serenade Orchestra, rooted in the Chula Vista Community Band established in 1996, has developed into a vibrant ensemble of approximately forty musicians since its reorganization in 2004. Recognized as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, this band embodies the spirit of Big Band music from the 1930s and 1940s, offering an engaging dance experience rather than a traditional stage performance.

Inspired by the classic sounds of Glenn Miller, Count Basie, and Duke Ellington, the orchestra's repertoire also includes influences from later artists such as Buddy Rich and Michael Bublé, as well as Latin icons like Antonio Carlos Jobim and Tito Puente. With a commitment to delivering a professional presentation, the Moonlight Serenade Orchestra strives to share its passion for music with audiences in an entertaining and lively manner.
