The Metropolitan Water District of Southern California is a consortium of 26 cities and water districts that provides drinking water supply to approximately 19 million people in different counties. Purchasing opportunities, professional and consulting services and construction contracts are the main business areas of the organization. The district delivers an average of 1.7 billion gallons of water per day to a 5,200 square mile service area. Some of its projects include Rio Hondo Power Plant Seal Water Discharge Handling and Diemer Emergency Broadcast System Rehabilitation. It is a member of agencies that include the City of Anaheim, City of Burbank, Inland Empire Utilities Agency and Municipal Water District of Orange County, among others.
