The Living Desert Zoo & Gardens

The Living Desert is located in Palm Desert, Calif. It has a zoo that offers various African animal species collections, including aardwolves, camels, dikdiks, hornbills, meerkats, rock hyrax, warthogs and zebras. The desert has various gardens, including geographic, taxonomic and educational. It also provides specialized gardens, including Wortz demonstration, euphorbia, barrel cactus, aviary oasis, and McDonald butterfly and wildflower garden. The desert has an eagle canyon that includes golden eagles, badgers, shy fennec foxes and javelinas. Additionally, The Living Desert has a discovery room, giraffic park and wildlife hospital and conservation center. It provides various sports and educational programs for children and offers rental services for various occasions, including business meeting, family reunion, holiday party and wedding.
