History

My career in education began in the late 90s when I became interested in teaching. You could say, I had found my calling! I started to work for Los Angeles Unified school district as a special education assistant for 10 years, before going back to school to become a Montessori teacher. I had been teaching in public and private sector before opening up my very own daycare called The Little Plum Daycare.

Specialties

As the director of The Little Plum Daycare here in Los Angeles, I want to provide the best environment for your child so they feel ready for kindergarten! I use Montessori philosophy and combine it with a fun Daycare environment in a home-based setting to create a love of learning. I have my masters in education, teaching credentials along with yoga certification. I have also tutored and prepared children for state-wide testing using common core guidelines. We provide excellent preschool education and have kindergarten prep along with childcare. We provide organic snacks and meals with excellent tasting, healthy food guidelines followed by VFP program. As the owner and operator, I am directly involved in all aspects of the education the children are getting and I employ fully qualified and friendly staff members to work with kindness and compassion. Our school is a bully free zone! We train all staff members to speak with kind words and teach children to do the same. All staff members trained in Early Childhood Education and in infant Child CPR & First Aid. All staff have completed background checks and are certified free of any criminal history by the Department of Justice.
