History

Essex Mortgage was founded in 1986 on the basis of education and that emphasis has been the cornerstone of our success throughout our history. Roland Weedon, our president was a former teacher in England (county of Essex) before moving to the states to start a family. Helping to educate borrowers on their financial options instead of telling them what to do helped foster positive and long lasting relationship. These relationships have kept some former clients coming back even today. On top of education, family is the other aspect of our DNA that has allowed us such success. Whether it be our borrowers, our referral partners, or our employees, we look to make everyone feel like family. This is evident in the incredible loyalty we receive. Some of our employees having been with us 5, 10 and even 20+ years!
