History

The legacy of the JazzReggae Festival at UCLA reaches back twenty-seven years and continues to celebrate a fusion of music, culture, art, and food. This event has become a tradition of the Los Angeles community and continues to attract new faces every year. At JRF we strive to expose and engage students and the community in a multifaceted cultural experience. The soulful rhythms of reggae and the phenomenal vibes of jazz, R&B, and soul music celebrate diversity on-campus and within our community. Founded and produced by the students of UCLA, the JazzReggae Festival is the largest student-run festival in the nation. The festival showcases both emerging and legendary artists. Past lineups have included: Jill Scott, Stephen Marley, The Roots, Nas & Damian Marley, Lupe Fiasco, India.Arie, Q-Tip, Barrington Levy, Gary Clark Jr., and Erykah Badu.
