The Getty Center in Los Angeles is an astounding place to spend a day marveling at world-class art and relaxing in beautifully manicured gardens. Pros: FREE with a reservation, we didn't have one, but it was a slow day and they let us in. Such a beautiful place to spend an afternoon, great art, amazing gardens, plenty of seating spaces....
