The Food Initiative of Greater Stanislaus, formerly known as Inter-Faith Ministries of Greater Modesto, has been serving the needy for over 40 years, beginning from humble origins in downtown Modesto. Focused on restoring dignity, health, and hope, the organization provides healthy food through various programs, including a Mobile Food Pantry and the Interfaith Clothes Closet, while adapting to the evolving needs of the community.
By serving over 3 million meals annually to vulnerable populations, including more than 36,000 children, FIGS is actively addressing hunger and poverty in the region.
