The American Fitness and Nutrition Academy

History

The American Fitness and Nutrition Academy (AFNA) opened its doors in Santa Barbara, California in 2009. AFNA has graduated over 300 students since moving to Pasadena in 2010. It is state-licensed, nationally accredited and approved to accept Veterans Education Benefits such as GI Bill and MyCAA. AFNA also participates in the Student Exchange and Visitor Program (SEV-P or SEVIS) and actively enrolls international students under the M-1 Nonimmigrant Visa Program. WorkForce Initiative participants welcomed.

AFNA is a career school for personal trainers and located in Pasadena, California. We Train The Trainers! Successful graduates earn a diploma, college transcripts, and national certification through the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM). Our Mission The American Fitness and Nutrition Academy educates and prepares a premiere workforce of fitness, nutrition, and allied healthcare practitioners, supports the employment efforts and business pursuits of these same practitioners, and advances the nationally critical priority of health, fitness, and nutrition awareness through industry outreach and community education activities.
