He is a third generation jeweler, having grown up in the business his grandfather founded in downtown San Diego in 1937. Chris worked in the store throughout high school and received his Graduate Gemologist degree in residence from the Gemological Institute of America in 1977. He has over thirty years experience in the jewelry industry.While a member of the American Gem Society, he attained the titles of Registered Jeweler, Certified Gemologist and was one of the first three Certified Gemologist Appraisers in the San Diego area.Chris spent six years traveling throughout the United States purchasing and reselling estate jewelry, watches and sterling flatware and hollowware.He is currently a member of the National Association of Jewelry Appraisers. The National Association of Jewelry Appraisers is the only appraisal association in the United States that devotes itself solely to the appraisal of gems and jewelry and silver flatware and hollowware.About John SpadeaJohn Spadea has been in the jewelry industry for over forty years, twenty-five years spent as an independent retailer. John has a vast background in custom design and repair.Having held a variety of positions including jewelry and watch buyer, managing several large multi-store companies as well as owning his own retail store, John is uniquely qualified to assist you with all of your jewelry needs.
