Tent on a truck

History

We love camping and overlanding, and we want you to experience the great outdoors just like we do. We are Kevin and Toni O'Donnell and we started Tent On A Truck after we visited Maui during Covid-19. The freedom to explore the Island, while staying safely in nature and away from the crowds was an experience we wanted to bring to those visiting California, or those who live here and don't have the equipment. There are so many things to see and do here, forested mountains, deserts, lakes-fishing, hiking, gold mining, its all up to you. You can explore dirt trails in Joshua Tree, Anza-Borrego, Big Bear, Idyllwild or beyond while staying at free camp sites. We want you to get out there and create the trip of your dreams!

Specialties

We offer off-road vehicles, fully equipped with camping supplies so that you can explore the region on your own terms. Create your own adventure and avoid the crowds. Explore local trails and free BLM campsites with all the gear you need. We can assist in planning your epic adventure. For less than renting a vehicle and hotel rooms, or paying excess baggage fees, you can rent a tent on a truck and be free to experience the region the way you want.
