Tenaja Community Service District

Community Action Partnership of Orange County is a nonprofit corporation that eliminates and prevents the causes and effects of poverty. It has been operational for more than 40 years and serves the low-income population of Orange County, Calif. The organization provides a variety of emergency services and capacity building programs for developing the basic knowledge and skills of poor people. Its commodity supplemental food program provides nutritious food supplements for low-income pregnant, postpartum and breast-feeding women, their infants, children up to 6 years of age and senior citizens. The organization operates a community project that promotes teenage girls from 10 to 14 years to increase their leadership skills and encourages them to participate in organized sports. Its family resource center offers nutrition and physical activity counseling, employment skills development and career counseling.
